Perspectives for Ghana

The Ernst Peyer Foundation is cam­paign­ing for devel­op­ment cooper­a­tion and human­it­ari­an aid pro­jects in Ghana. We sup­port and super­vise pro­jects in the fields of water, hygiene, health, infra­struc­ture, and the improve­ment of incomes. Our goal is to improve pub­lic wel­fare in the poorest regions of Ghana in a sus­tain­able man­ner.

Friends of Pastor Ernst Peyer, who passed away in 1988, estab­lished the char­it­able found­a­tion. Since then we have real­ized more than 35 smal­ler and lar­ger pro­jects, sup­por­ted by dona­tions from private and pub­lic insti­tu­tions. Pastor Ernst Peyer lived and worked in Ghana as a mis­sion­ary of the Basel Mission from 1959 to 1971. Up to his death he kept close rela­tions with the coun­try and showed an exem­plary com­mit­ment to the people of Ghana.
